In this installment, we have videos for both front and back carries in a soft structured carrier. Ann Marie apologizes if her hip scoot looks awkward, she doesn't hip scoot because it feels awkward to her, so it probably looks like it. The sound is a little low, sorry, the videos were done in a park and there was enough ambient noise to make it hard to hear in some spots, but the methods are pretty clear even without the sound. Hopefully they are useful to someone.
Thanks for sharing. Can you tell me what type of carrier Ann Marie is using here? I'm trying to find out more about the Patapum and Action Baby Carriers. I've looked at the Ergo but there some things that seem a bit better about the other two. Any info would be great. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAnn Marie is using a Kinderpack which is a fairly HTF SSC made by a WAHM. We don't have a Patapum, but the SWI of DC-MD-VA sling library does have an Action Baby Carrier you could try if you came to a meeting. There is one coming up in Tysons. :)
ReplyDeleteThat should say BWI not SWI... see what happens when you type with a baby in your lap?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I was thinking of attending the metting in Burke - does the library come to each location or do I write and ask to try things ahead of time?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
The library generally comes to most meetings unless Ann Marie (the librarian) can't make it (illness, conflict with school pick up, etc.). You mentioned being interested in a Patapum, we actually just got a toddler Patapum added to the library. We'd love to see you in Burke. :)
