The Care and Feeding of Carriers

Everyone who must wash clothes and textiles discovers their preferred methods. What are your preferred methods for laundering and caring for your carriers?  Do you follow the care label?
Dry clean only?  Make your own laundry soap?  Toss it in the dryer? Line dry?
We invite readers to share their methods and mishaps in the comment box below.  We look forward to hearing from you.

  1. Thanks to Ellen for the fabulous laundry care tag picture!

As for my tip... putting a small sock over the rings on a ring sling keeps them from banging around in the washer or dryer.

  2. No tips from me specifically. I tend to hang everything to dry, and then tumble with no heat to soften up a bit.

I also am not afraid to wash most things on gentle cycle in the washing machine. I wouldn't do this with silk or wool, however. I just use a "free and clear" detergent and call it good!
